- Hairstylist - This occupation includes barbers, cosmetologists and other personal appearance workers. These jobs require plenty of on-the-job training and a license from an accredited cosmetology school in most states. About 44 percent of workers are self-employed and enjoy flexible schedules.

- Fitness worker - This field includes personal trainers and aerobics, pilates and yoga instructors.
